MY TAKE: Over the years we’ve come to appreciate the quality, performance and value offered by the Wireworld line of cables. I can’t tell you how many cables we’ve tried in this price range, but none have matched Wireworld cables for performance and versatility. These cables have, what we term, very low system dependency (meaning they remain neutrally-balanced in most any system) which virtually guarantees a good fit in your current system, and won’t be out of place as you change equipment. - Galen Carol

    Series 8 Upgrades

The upgrade to Composilex 3 in Series 8 interconnects improves tonal purity and image focus, while the increased number of strand groups has increased detail, soundstage separation, bass extension and dynamic expression.

This is the cable for perfectionists with elite reference systems. Supremely transparent, with breathtaking dynamics and holographic imaging, Platinum Eclipse provides the closest sound to the ultimate purity of a direct connection. Carbon fiber plugs add a level of high tech elegance that make these exceptional cables look as good as they sound.

    REVIEWS:

"What price glory? Platinum Eclipse is certainly well beyond my pay grade. But don’t assume that just because it is so costly it requires an ultra-high-resolution, fancy pants system to make its magic—or that it wouldn’t make a dime’s worth of difference in a more “real world” high-end system. Unfortunately it does make a difference, and all too much of one. Loudspeakers as cost-accessible as the new Audio Physic Classic 30 floorstander and the ATC SCM19 stand-mounted monitor benefited to no small degree from these wires. So much so that it may not be a good idea to try them unless you’re prepared to go all the way to purchase.

For those prepared to go all the way, and I’m glad there are those of you out there, I wouldn’t hesitate to commend these wires. I’ve heard plenty of other cables that have proven themselves over various criteria, but Wireworld’s Platinum Eclipse Series is the most balanced and musical cable I’ve experienced yet. A component worthy of the designation, the state of the art." - Neil Gader, The Absolute Sound

"Well, after 20 years of wandering the desert of indecision, I have found the oasis and become a high-end cable convert. If you are middle aged, you can probably afford these, but can you hear the difference? Probably, but maybe not, especially if you played in a garage band and didn’t use ear plugs. If you are young, say 20, you can hear the difference, but can you afford them? Probably not. Arghh ! !" - John E. Johnson, Secrets of Home Theater High Fidelity

"Bottom line – these cables provided a kind of special magic that I really wasn’t prepared to experience. Without question – these new Wire World Platinum Eclipse cables were at the heart of these improvements with the overall the sound possessing enhanced refinement and finesse that helped give reproduced music a more convincing and authentic sonic character. For some additional workout and auditioning, I also installed these cables in a completely different audio rig than my reference system. The results were not only highly satisfying – the sonic performance level of that particular system was enhanced well beyond anything subtle or marginal in terms of sonic improvements. In particular, and similar to the experience in my reference system, the overall level of musicality was quite compelling. Once again, overall transparency, cleanliness, clarity, resolution and dynamics rose to heightened levels of improvement and without any negative sonic attributes." - Bill Wells, Stereo Times
