advancing the state of high-performance power conditioning and system cabling in both the audio and medical industries."

    DENALI Series -

Designed to perfect the listening experience, the DENALI Series v2 power conditioners incorporate the absolute latest technologies from Shunyata Research. With years of experience behind us, we are proud to have developed patented technologies and custom-designed parts that form the cornerstone of Shunyata Research products.

The Denali 6000 v2 Series power features patented technologies and proprietary components that are simply unavailable in other products. Denali power distributors supply power to multiple components while reducing noise from the power line and intercepting component-to-component noise.

DTCD® DESIGNED (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery) -

The Denali 6000/S was designed using the DTCD® analyzer. DTCD® Analysis is a technique that measures the instantaneous current through low impedance electrical conductors and contacts. Shunyata Research uses it to optimize the design, specification, and construction of parts and materials to ensure maximum current delivery performance.

    CCI™ NOISE REDUCTION -

Traditional power conditioners are designed to block incoming noise from outside the home but do not address the noise that is generated by the electronic components themselves. In fact, most conditioners reflect noise back into other components connected to the power conditioner. CCI™ (Component-to-Component Interference) is one of the most significant but often overlooked aspects of power system performance. The CCI™ filter consists of a proprietary multi-stage filter that reduces electrical noise and power supply generated interference.

    QR/BB™ AND NIC™ NOISE REDUCTION -

The NIC™ (Noise Isolation Chamber) is a patented technology that reduces high-frequency power line noise. NICs™ use a non-reactive ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high-frequency noise. This allows Denali power distributors to reduce noise without any of the negatives associated with conventional power conditioner designs. Patented QR/BB™ technology dramatically reduces the sense of dynamic compression often heard when an amplifier is connected to a conventional power conditioner. Dynamics are actually improved when an amplifier is connected to the Denali even when compared to a direct connection to the wall outlet.  [ US Patents: 10,031,536 B2 and 8,658,892 ]

    ZONES OF ISOLATION -

The Denali 6000/S features six zones of isolation. US outlets are traditionally paired together into a duplex. The Denali 6000/S is configured in such a way that each outlet is individually isolated. This design allows for significant reduction of CCI™ regardless of system configuration.

    GP-NR NOISE REDUCTION -

When it comes to reducing noise, much focus is appropriately given to the electrical power lines that feed the audio system, but a significant amount of interference may also enter the system via the ground lines. These lines act as antennae, drawing in electrical noise that interferes with the operation of the connected components. Ground Plane Noise Reduction is a proprietary technology developed by Shunyata Research to significantly reduce the interference caused by this phenomenon, thereby providing a more pure audio experience.

    HIGH CURRENT CAPABILITY -

The Denali Series power distributors have a 20 Amp continuous rating, ensuring unfettered power delivery to entire systems, including high-powered amplifiers. Advanced electromagnetic breakers combined with massive 8-gauge ArNi® wiring maximize dynamic contrast and bass impact.

    HYDRAULIC ELECTROMAGNETIC BREAKER -

Common power conditioners use fuses or thermal breakers for over-current protection. When heavily loaded, those devices cause voltage drops, increased contact impedance, thermal noise, excessive heat generation, and current-limiting effects. The Denali 6000/S uses a more advanced solution called a hydraulic electromagnetic breaker that can operate right up to the maximum current rating without the limitations of fuses or thermal breakers.

    COPPERCONN® OUTLETS -

All commercial-grade connectors and virtually all audiophile grade connectors are made from a brass or bronze base metal. Some audiophile grade connectors may get a plating of nickel, silver, gold or rhodium which is only a few millionths of an inch thick. The Shunyata Research CopperCONN® is constructed using solid, high purity, oxygen-free copper as the base metal with a flash coating to protect the copper from oxidation. The CopperCONN® outlets and connectors are designed to provide superior grip strength and contact integrity. This contributes to a measurable improvement in DTCD® performance and a correspondingly obvious difference in audible performance.

    CABLE CRADLE SUPPORT SYSTEM -

Shunyata Research introduces a unique solution to the problem of heavy high-end power cables. The innovative Cable Cradle supports the weight of the power cable, preventing it from pulling away from the outlet. This system is designed to ensure reliable and secure electrical connections.

    ARNI® CONDUCTORS -

Shunyata Research has developed a proprietary line of ArNi® conductors. They are made with certified OFE C10100 (Certified ASTM F68) copper. The wire strands are arrayed in a proprietary “hollow tube” VTX™ geometry, which reduces skin effects. ArNi® conductors are then treated with Shunyata Research’s exclusive Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP™) for a period of 2 days.

    VIBRATION MANAGEMENT -

Mechanical vibration can be very destructive to system performance. The Denali was designed from its inception to include advanced forms of vibration control that improve the recovery of subtle musical detail and nuance. All chassis panels and internal structures are treated with vibration dampening panels. Each outlet is isolated from the chassis with a vibration-dampening gasket that reduces vibration conducted through the AC cables. All internal modules, filters, and electronics are encapsulated in a vibration-absorbent compound.

    SSF-38 SHUNYATA FOOTER -

The Denali 6000/S includes Shunyata Research’s SSF-38 isolation footers specifically designed to reduce vibration from the supporting platform. Power distributors react very similarly to amplifiers in relationship to floor-borne vibration. After researching multiple forms of energy dissipation methods, Shunyata Research developed the SSF-38 to provide the performance characteristics of an expensive aftermarket isolator but at a fraction of the cost.

    KPIP™ “BLACKBIRD” PROCESSOR -

Each Denali is treated with Shunyata Research’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP™). The KPIP™ dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance.

    CRYOGENIC TREATMENT -

Many of the electrical components in the Denali are treated in Shunyata Research’s own advanced computer-controlled cryogenics lab. Further cryogenic treatment of the unit is strongly discouraged, and will void your warranty.

    Audio Stream:

Enjoying Music With The Denali - "Listening to the jazz vocalist, Rene Marie, on her new release Sound Of Red (24/96) I was impressed with the beautiful and focused reproduction of her voice. The instruments accompanying her were dynamic sounding with no image smearing. The resolution of transient detail sounded clearer using the Denali.

"Paul Simon’s new release Stranger To Stranger (96/24) with its heavy studio mixing, sounded very nice when played with the Denali. The enticing rhythms of these compositions came across well with deep bass that was well defined and impactful. The Denali allowed this recording to sound non-fatiguing with extended treble that had no “digital” edge.

"The recent release of the Rachmaninov Symphony 1 performed by Valery Gergiev conducting the London Symphony Orchestra (DSD64) was thrilling to listen to with my front end and power amps plugged into the Denali D6000T. The recording’s dynamically expressive sound was reproduced convincingly in a manner that was extraordinarily expressive and involving. The Denali allowed me to be pulled into the music with sound that was delicate and nuanced.

One Of Shunyata Research’s Finest Efforts - "Over the years, I have had first hand experience with a number of Shunyata Research’s power distribution centers including the Hydra V-Ray, V-Ray v 2, DPC-6, DPC-6 v 2,Triton, and most recently, the Triton v 2. I don’t remember any of these power conditioners creating the initial overall listening excitement I heard when first experiencing the Denali Series." - Steven Plaskin

The Audio Beat: "Power conditioning occupies a unique place within an audio system because it literally touches every electronic component and its performance, so the effect of clean power is easy to hear. Even so, the effectiveness of the Denali products was startling, my first and persistent feeling being that every vocal or instrumental line was remarkably well resolved and delineated -- relieved of a scrim that wasn’t even perceptible until it was gone. This brought unmatched clarity to all music, making for greater physical heft and size to symphonic recordings and greater intimacy and immediacy to solo guitar. The harmonies of the Wailin’ Jennys on their cover of Neil Young’s “Old Man” from 40 Days [Red House Records RHR CD 177] were crystal clear and individual, but they still retained their unity and sense of group purpose, and the massive low end of “Words of Wonder” from Keith Richards’ Main Offender [Virgin V2-86499] had lightning-like force and a touch more pit-of-the-stomach weight. These recordings, and all others, also sounded more supple and natural, better variegated, and less strident (if any stridency existed in the first place). The various electronics I used sounded more like themselves, and that was probably the case, given the cleansing effect of the Denali conditioners on the AC feeding them.

The technology Caelin Gabriel has developed for cleaning AC, much of it patented, has steadily built upon itself. Gabriel's latest products are unequivocally effective at making any combination of audio electronics sound more singular and real. Denali really is the peak of power conditioning here and now. - Marc Mickelson

The Audio Beat: "Most audiophiles I know keep a catalog in their heads of moments when something special happened during a listening session. The hair on the backs of their necks stands up. They get goosebumps. They might even tear up. These moments are what audio lovers live for. The Denalis delivered more of them to my living room than any power conditioners I've used. The sound was seductively subtle and delicate during quiet passages and then shockingly quick and forceful when musicians were pounding on drums or piano keys, or swelling in unison to a crescendo. Musicians and singers appeared and disappeared in my listening room more seamlessly, effortlessly and three-dimensionally than they did when the already impressive Triton v2 and Typhon were in place. This utterly relaxed and organic presentation is the hallmark of the Denali sound and what sets it apart from all of its predecessors.

As I look now at the literature that came along with the Denali 6000/T, 6000/S and 2000/T, the sheer number of technical innovations they contain reminds me of a military concept known as force multiplier. This term applies to any attribute that significantly improves the effectiveness of an army or its weapons, such that a leaner, smaller unit is able to defeat a much larger opposing force. It's a fitting phrase when you consider that Shunyata's founder has been at war with noise in audio reproduction for nearly 20 years. Caelin Gabriel's single-minded obsession with eliminating the deleterious effects of electrical products and power lines has culminated with the new Denali power conditioners. In a recent interview, Gabriel told me that his long-term goal has always been to make state-of-the-art products more affordable so that a greater number of listeners can get closer to the music.

I'm tempted to say "Mission accomplished." But Gabriel is never satisfied, and that's good news for audiophiles everywhere." - Vance Hiner

The Absolute Sound - "The qualities that have made me a Shunyata user for the past ten years were taken to new heights by the Denali system. I didn’t need to listen carefully and pick out small differences between the new and old conditioners; the Denali rendered an immediately apparent wholesale improvement to my system.

"The best single word to describe Shunyata’s technology in general, and the Denali system in particular, is “organic.” That is, the music has a natural ease that makes it easier to forget I’m listening to electronics and speakers. The Denali removes a fine scrim of grain, etch, and metallic hardness that overlays timbres, washing them clean. If you’re used to the sound of your system without good AC conditioning, you may not identify this whitish grain specifically, but it nonetheless diminishes the natural tonal colors of instruments and fosters that familiar feeling of listening to the music as filtered through electronics. It’s only after hearing the system with this distortion removed that you recognize this distortion for what it is.

"More important, however, is the effect on the listening experience. The cleaner rendering of timbre confers many benefits, including richer and denser tone color by virtue of absence of the electronic patina. The Denali allows the instruments’ natural beauty to shine through, unencumbered by a tincture of sterile artificiality. Instrumental and vocal textures become more like music and less like electronics. The sound is richer, more deeply saturated, and timbrally vivid.

"This impression is amplified by the another salubrious effect, the dramatic lowering of the noise floor, and with it the threshold for hearing musical detail. To use a visual analogy, compare looking at the night sky from a major city with that same view from a pitch-black wilderness. The city’s light pollution obscures the faintest stars, and reduces the contrast between the still-visible stars and the blackness of space. The night sky from, say, Death Valley, is awe-inspiring. From Manhattan, not so much. Similarly, the Denali’s reduction in background noise allows a wealth of fine detail to emerge. This detail may be the micro-texture of tone colors that imbues the sound with a more vivid sense of the instrument and the mechanism by which it creates music. This micro-texture, when resolved, makes it easier to cross the threshold into that zone of forgetting that you’re listening to a reproduction. Moreover, resolving this tiny component of the sound not only provides greater richness of timbre; it also allows you to better differentiate individual instruments in an ensemble. On Dick Hyman’s From the Age of Swing on Reference Recordings the unison phrases by the brass and woodwinds sounded like many differentiated instruments playing together rather than a synthetic continuum.

"It’s not just very low-level timbral detail that makes instruments sound more lifelike, but also the resolution of very fine transient information. I’m talking about the finest micro-transients, components of the signal that you may not think of as transients but that, nonetheless, provide the brain with richer cues about the sound’s origin. A reed moving back and forth, for example, or the series of very fine, closely spaced dynamic impulses created by a bow moving across a string. Without any AC conditioning, these extremely fine but vitally important signal components are simply buried. The delicate brushwork on Jimmy Cobb’s snare drum on Jazz in the Key of Blue was much better articulated, with a more vivid and realistic rendering of brushes moving across the drumhead. The Triton was for me revelatory in how it unearthed fine details, but the Denali is, surprisingly, significantly better at resolving these low-level cues. The more experience I have with cutting-edge audio, the more I’m convinced that it’s the resolution of the very finest musical information that vaults a system from outstanding to musically transcendental.

"Another manifestation of the reduction in the noise floor is the ability to hear the fragile spatial cues that, together, allow our minds to create a believable soundstage. Soundstage depth, width, the sense of hearing back into the hall, and of individual instruments separated by space is staggeringly better with the Denali. To borrow one of Jonathan Valin’s wonderful visualizations, it’s like looking at a diorama compared to looking at a painting. Early in The Rite of Spring [Reference Recordings] the contrabassoon in the back row plays a prominent, almost solo, passage that lights up the surrounding acoustic and reveals the orchestra’s depth and the hall’s size. The Denali brings these spatial details to vivid life. The more realistic portrayal of spatial cues also has the effect of making the loudspeakers more fully disappear. Without Shunyata’s conditioning, the speakers do a good job of floating images and fostering the impression that the sound isn’t coming from two transducers. But the Denali takes that impression to another level, and in a way that’s hard to describe. The soundstage and the instrumental images within it are more tangible, solid, immersive, and detached from the speakers.

"The Denali’s combination of deeper background blackness, resolution of the finest spatial and textural detail, utter liquidity of timbre, and powerful impression of immersing you in the recording venue’s acoustic presents the music with a heightened sense of occasion and drama. When a piece of music starts, it feels as though I’m about to experience a momentous event that deserves and demands my full attention. Any component that fosters this feeling is special, indeed.

"Shunyata’s new Denali AC conditioning system significantly improves upon the sound quality of its stellar predecessor, the Triton. In every sonic criterion, the Denali establishes a new benchmark of performance. In addition to cleaner timbres, lower noise, greater resolution of low-level detail, and a more expansive and dimensional soundstage, the Denali system goes a step further in recreating the illusion of musical realism.

"In addition, the D6000T’s new vertical orientation and cable support system make it fit more easily into any system. And if you have shelf space, you can save $1000 with the D6000S and still get the same performance as the D6000T. Although $4k or $5k for power conditioning isn’t inexpensive, I consider the Denali products a tremendous value not just in relation to competing conditioners, but also in the context of your entire system investment. Before you “trade up” to a different power amplifier, for example, you should hear what state-of-the-art AC conditioning can do." - Robert Harley

HIFI+ - Power Product of the Year 2018 - "This is sound less distorted, pure and simple. It sounds like your electronics are tampering with the sound less than before, almost irrespective of the type of electronics used. It’s the system you bought in the first place, as it should be, and it works universally.”

"The Shunyata Denali features a number of patented technologies (also used in medical imaging by Shunyata Research’s sister company CIS) and proprietary components not available in any other products. QR/BB™ technology (US 10,031,536) improves system dynamics and NIC™ technology (US 8,658,892 and US 6,242,698) reduces high frequency noise without any of the reactive negatives associated with transformers, coils, and large capacitors. A non current-limiting electromagnetic breaker and massive internal wiring allow it to power entire systems including high-powered amplifiers. In addition, its latest generation CCITM v4 medical-grade filters reduce noise by an astounding -60db at 1 MHz. 40,000 amps of surge, and transient control are provided by the Trident module, a single field-replaceable module which also includes fault detection circuitry and LED status indicator"
