MY TAKE: The Shunyata Everest is the finest product of its kind I’ve ever encountered. Every single person who auditioned it in their system ended up purchasing one. A 100% success rate is virtually unheard of in the subjective world of high-end audio, where so much depends on personal preference. For the Everest to resonate with every single listener is truly remarkable. The Everest-X elevates an already exceptional product to new heights, making it a stellar performer. And a major plus for current Everest owners: your unit is fully upgradeable to the "X" version! - Galen Carol

FORGED IN DISCOVERY, PERFECTED THROUGH INNOVATION -

Everest-X is the most advanced power distributor in Shunyata Research’s 25-year history. As the successor to the award-winning Everest 8000, it marks a dramatic leap forward in the pursuit of absolute fidelity for recording, mastering, and listening systems.

Built on decades of research and scientific refinement, Everest-X is designed to redefine performance expectations in power delivery. Whether supporting world-class studios or elevating home audio systems, Everest-X delivers resolution without compromise.

With its patented technologies and proprietary components, Everest-X supplies clean power to multiple components while blocking both power-line and component-to-component noise. Compared to traditional power conditioners, it reveals sound with striking physical timing and extended silence. The lowered noise floor and absence of distortion make music feel more immediate and dynamic, as if driven by more powerful amplification. The result is a profoundly quiet background that reveals newfound harmonic textures and lifelike presence from instruments and voices.

    GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGIES -

TAP C (Transverse Axial Polarizer) is a patent-pending technology developed by Shunyata Research to enhance the performance of its reference signal cables. The evolution of this technology has led to the creation of TAPc, a groundbreaking advancement that significantly reduces the size of the modules, enabling their application across a broader range of products, including power distributors, power cords, interconnects, digital cables and speaker cables.

The sonic results of TAPc technology include a profound drop in perceived noise floor, effortlessly portrayed dynamics, and an exceptional rendering of timing and coherency. These benefits are unique to TAPc, setting it apart from any competing product or technology. Even to an untrained ear, the effects of TAPc are immediately apparent and consistently repeatable across various components and systems. Essentially, the TAPc modules act as force multipliers, elevating the listening experience to levels many would not have thought possible.

POWER HARP technology, originally developed to address current resonances in speaker cables, has now been adapted for power distribution in the Everest-X. Through extensive research, Caelin Gabriel identified the presence of current drift and audio-frequency current resonances within power delivery systems, much like standing wave modes in room acoustics. In the Everest-X, the HARP module functions as a current-mode diffraction device, disrupting these resonances to enhance resolution, coherence, and dynamic stability across connected components. By mitigating these power system artifacts, HARP technology helps create a more refined, noise free listening experience, allowing the full potential of a system to be realized.

QR/BB™ is a patented device which dramatically enhances the perception of dynamic impact and timing when connected to amplifiers or other high-current electronics. The ‌‌QR/BB™ is unique in that it provides a local reserve of energy, or Coulomb charge, that mitigates the inductive reactance of the AC power line without using coils, transformers or capacitors. The ‌‌QR/BB™ acts as an instantaneous energy reserve when placed in-line with an AC power supply. ~ Patent Number: US 10,031,536 ~

KPIP v2™ - Shunyata Research’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process includes four days of continuous KPIP v2™ processing which refines conductor metals at the atomic level. This dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation. When compared to the original process, KPIP v2™ represents a dramatic performance upgrade on par with a component-level upgrade.

NIC™ (‌‌Noise Isolation Chamber) is a patented Shunyata Research device that reduces high frequency power line noise. It employs a ferroelectric substance that actually absorbs high frequency noise without any of the reactive negatives associated with transformers and large capacitors as used in conventional power conditioners. ~ Patent US 8,658,892 ~

CopperCONN - Many audiophile grade connectors are made from brass or bronze. While some may get a plating of silver, gold or rhodium, the majority of the current is carried by the contact’s base-metal. ‌CopperCONN® connectors contain pure copper contacts which have a much higher conductivity than brass. The difference in performance is clearly audible.

CMode Tech - Common-mode noise is different than differential noise and is much more difficult to measure and eliminate. For the purest signal possible, Shunyata Research has developed a CMode filter that effectively reduces common-mode noise without introducing the sonic compression effects associated with conventional filters. It reduces high-frequency noise distortion while delivering an analog ease and palpable background silence that closes the gap between digital and analog systems.

    ‌‌

CCI™ filters have the unique ability to reduce component-generated power line noise without inhibiting DTCD® (dynamic transient current delivery). This unique filter element prevents power line noise from one component contaminating the other adjacent electronic components. Shunyata Research’s ‌‌CCI™ filter modules consist of proprietary multi-stage filters that reduce power supply-generated noise without the use of heavy transformers, coils or         large capacitors.

DTCD® Analysis is a proprietary measurement technique developed to measure instantaneous current flow through very low impedance electrical conductors and contacts. It is used to optimize the design of electrical parts and materials, ensuring optimal instantaneous current delivery. ‌‌DTCD® Analysis gives Shunyata Research a clear competitive advantage in the design and development of high performance power delivery products.

    UNIQUE FEATURES -

    • SIX INDEPENDANT ZONES OF ISOLATION - The Everest-X features six zones of isolation, providing for multiple formats of component configuration. This allows for significant reduction in CCI™ through high levels of isolation between different types of components.
    • GROUND PLANE NOISE REDUCTION - The Everest-X includes the Ground Plane Noise Reduction (GP-NR) system that provides central grounding for the system components. Grounding the chassis of all the components in the system to a common ground point may reduce noise and hum caused by ground loops and radiated RFI and EMI. The GP-NR absorbs noise through pure-copper ground lugs mounted on the rear panel. More than one ground cable may be connected to each of four terminals by using CGC ground cables terminated with either spade and banana terminals, or by stacking multiple grounding cables with spade terminals
    • HYDRAULIC ELECTROMAGNETIC BREAKER - Common power conditioners use fuses or thermal breakers for over-current protection. When heavily loaded, those devices cause voltage drops, increased contact impedance, thermal noise, excessive heat generation, and current-limiting effects. The Everest-X uses a more advanced solution called a hydraulic electromagnetic breaker that can operate right up to the maximum current rating without the limitations of fuses or thermal breakers.
    • ArNi® CONDUCTORS - Shunyata Research has developed a proprietary line of ArNi® conductors. They are made withm certified OFE C10100 (Certified ASTM F68) copper. The wire strands are arrayed in a proprietary “hollow tube” VTX™ geometry, which reduces skin effects. ArNi® conductors are then treated with Shunyata Research’s exclusive Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP v2™) for a period of 8 days.
    • VIBRATION MANAGEMENT - Mechanical vibration can be very destructive to system performance. The Everest-X was designed from its inception to include advanced forms of vibration control that improve the recovery of subtle musical detail and nuance. All chassis panels and internal structures are treated with vibration dampening panels. Each outlet (US/AS models only) is isolated from the chassis with a vibration-dampening gasket that reduces vibration conducted through the AC cables. All internal modules, filters, and electronics are encapsulated in a vibration-absorbent compound.
    • CABLE CRADLE SUPPORT SYSTEM - Shunyata Research introduces a unique solution for the problem of heavy high-end power cables. The innovative Cable Cradle supports the weight of the power cable, preventing it from pulling away from the outlet. This system is designed to ensure reliable and secure electrical connections . The Cable Cradle is only available on US, and AS models.
    • SSF-50 SHUNYATA FOOTER - The Everest-X includes Shunyata Research’s SSF-50 isolation footers specifically designed to reduce vibration from the supporting platform. Power distributors react very similarly to amplifiers in relationship to floor-borne vibration After researching multiple forms of energy dissipation methods, Shunyata Research developed the SSF-50 to provide the performance characteristics of an expensive aftermarket isolator at a fraction of the cost
    • HIGH CURRENT CAPABILITY - The Everest series power distributors have high-current continuous ratings, ensuring unfettered power delivery to entire systems, including high-powered amplifiers. Advanced electromagnetic breakers and massive 8-gauge ArNi® wire maximize dynamic contrast and bass impact.
    • CRYOGENIC TREATMENT - Many of the electrical components in the Everest are treated in Shunyata Research’s own advanced computer-controlled cryogenics lab. NOTE: Further cryogenic treatment of the unit is strongly discouraged, and will void your warranty
