    DESIGN PROGRESSION

Over the past 25 years, Shunyata Research has earned a reputation for producing the highest-performance power-distribution systems on the market. Whether providing clean power for James Guthrie's re-master of Dark Side Of The Moon, or unearthing never-before-seen signal resolution in heart surgery systems, Shunyata Research's results have been consistently transformational. With unequivocal critical and professional acclaim as a backdrop, Shunyata Designer Caelin Gabriel set about the herculean task of combining his 25 years of experience and scientific innovation into one towering product that incorporates all he’s learned about power-system design. That once in a generation product is the Everest 8000.

Shunyata Research’s patented QR/BBTM technology, originally developed for the Typhon, provides instantaneous on-demand electrical charge to dynamic draw electronics. The QR/BBTM device in the Everest is three times the size of the Hydra Denali’s and provides unprecedented spatial and
three-dimensional imaging qualities. Patent Numbers: US 8,658,892 and US 10,031,536

The Everest 8000 provides unprecedented noise reduction derived from Shunyata Research's CIS® medical division. Over 60 dB of noise reduction and six zones of isolation contribute to remarkable improvements in imaging and radical improvements in audio performance when used in professional recording
    or home audio entertainment systems.

The Everest 8000 is Shunyata Research’s state-of-the-art eight outlet power distributor. With six independent zones of noise isolation, Everest 8000 can be used in a system composed of digital, analog, and high-current electronics. All outlets deliver both exceptional high-current performance and standard-setting noise isolation that virtually eliminates component-to-component interference. There are no current delivery restrictions of any kind within the Everest. Instead, DTCD® (dynamic transient current delivery) is markedly improved across all outlets. From the industry’s most demanding amps to the most nuanced noise-sensitive source compo

    REVIEWS:

Stereophile: "The changes the Shunyata system made to my system are easy to summarize. They weren't subtle/ The magnitude of noise reduction was startling. The additional spatial and temporal details revealed when the noise was eliminatedmade performances richer and more involving and returned a lifeike enery I hadn't realized was missing.

"What we - what I - care most about is how the music sounds, but I'm a big beleiver in usability. Many power cables are stiff and heavy, requiring careful dressing to avoid pulling lightweight equipment off shelves. The Shunyata cables, though,  are light. flexible and easy to use.

"The Shunyata Everest 8000, with power cords, checked all the boxes. I couldn't have been more delighted by its performance in my system, and I can't recommend iut highly enough." - Brian Damkroger

The Audio Beat: "The Everest 8000’s impact on the sound of my audio system reminds me of the kick I get out of listening to well-executed remasters -- analog or digital. It provides the clearest view into recordings I’ve been able to attain. Because the Everest 8000 banishes so much extraneous, distracting noise from playback, I find myself appreciating changes in the sonic character of vocals from track to track on a single album or being in awe of the height and depth of some recording venues as well as the warmth and intimacy of another studio. My brain is not fighting to process the audible noise pollution from the electrical grid or the noise generated by my components. The Wilson Sasha 2’s in my system still sound like the balanced, neutral speakers they are, but the Everest 8000 has enabled my front-end components to feed them more of the bass energy, instrumental bloom, timbral fidelity and lifelike transients that were always present on even modest recordings.

"The only thing left to address here is the Everest 8000's price. In a world of five-figure electronics and six-figure speakers, one could argue that $8000 is relatively fair value for a product that affects every component plugged into it. But who in his right mind takes financial advice from an equipment reviewer? All I can do is share the calculations that are going on in my head after hearing the Everest 8000 in my system. For less than a tenth the price of my current audio system, Shunyata Research’s Everest 8000 has dramatically improved every aspect of music reproduction. Many of my records now sound as though they’ve been remastered, even some mediocre ones. I can listen to CDs for far longer, luxuriating in that medium’s linearity without much of the listening fatigue commonly associated with digital playback. Streaming services now sound disarmingly natural and are more addictive than ever before. My speakers are conveying musical complexity with an effortlessness and that I’ve previously only noticed when I’ve heard them driven with far more expensive amplification. The Everest 8000 is a no-holds-barred reference component that delivers a clear view of the audiophile promised land -- stunning transparency, lifelike dynamics and the sort of nuance and detail that can turn merely listening to a musical performance into an emotional experience. After hearing what the Everest 8000 can do, I find it difficult to imagine settling for music playback without it." - Vance Hiner

The Absolute Sound: "... it was the way this new conditioner resolved the air and space between instruments, giving the sound a greater dimensionality that was closer to what one hears from live music. I could hear a more tangible sense of the cushion of air around each instrument, particularly on dynamic passages. The feeling of sound expanding from the instrument was more realistic. This impression was heightened by the tighter focus of the image itself, along with the greater delineation between the image and the air around it. Thi9s may sound like an esoteric analysis of a not-that-important perception, but this far more realistic portrayal of images, the immediate space around them, and the greater space of the hall went a long way toward making me forget I was listening to a recreation of music. It was just more organic and lifelike."

"The Everest allowed the outstanding components in my system to perform at their highest level by providing them with an ultra-quiet and clean power source. The Everest 8000 and Omega XC have become essential parts of my reference system." - Robert Harley

HiFi+: "It’s a remarkable performer in so many ways, far more so than the clichéd ‘reduces the noise floor’ epithet that’s applied to every power conditioner and distributor, ever. Yes, it does that, but it also gives the audio electronics permission to deliver sound as intended. Individual notes have a more clearly defined ‘space’ around them, both in terms of dimensionality but also in attack, decay, and release. You hear the most subtle of reverb tails (whether applied naturally, electronically, or digitally… and you can often hear the difference in small-scale recordings).

"So far, so ‘audiophile’. We love a bit of additional ‘microdynamic shading’ and the ability to reach ever further into the mix for additional hard-to-find details. And if the Shunyata Research Everest 8000 did that and that alone, it would be deserving of high praise. But there’s more. Stopping all those power supplies from clashing with one another makes them get out of the way of the sound in some surprising ways. Bass lines aren’t just cleaner. They are funkier and more menacing when (and only when) required. You hear more of the body of the instrument and the player behind that instrument too. This creates a more lithe and natural performance. Even when those instruments are electronic, you get more sense of musical order and verve.

"I’ve long played the get-out card with power conditioners and distributors; I live in London! Houses polluting the mains and radio frequency environments surround me. Your Mileage May Vary. But no such weasel words are needed with the Shunyata Research Everest 8000 power distributor. It makes your system sound better no matter the system and regardless of where you live. It’s a game-raiser and a game-changer in one. To quote a tagline from a well-known UK supplier of double-glazed windows “Fit the best: Everest!” - Alan Sircom
