Michell Engineering have been building quality audio turntables in Borehamwood, England for nearly 40 years, making them one of the oldest manufacturers in the industry. When you purchase a Michell product, you buy into a company that prides itself on the ability to service and maintain its products for many years to come. The GyroDec turntable, for example, has been around for over 30 years, and even its first incarnation can still be upgraded to the latest specification.

Michell turntables are precision instruments that are built to last and designed and to reproduce sound as close as possible to the master tape. Their flagship turntable, the Orbe SE continues to receive acclaim the world over. Taking the established concept of the GyroDec to greater heights, the Orbe SE adds an extra level of isolation, better structural damping, and an improved motor drive system. When teamed with the Michell TecnoArm, the Orbe SE is a formidable analog rig offering outstanding performance at the price point. For a less expensive option, Michell offers their RB-250 Special tonearm.

    • Patented

    REVIEWS:

“It was the nearest thing to real performed music – or, a step removed, the master tape – I have heard in a long while. All the more surprising when it is issued from thirty or 40-year old recordings from a ‘dead’ format.” - Hi-Fi News & Record Review

“…a feeling that you’re dragging the last fraction of fidelity from a disc to get you right up to the master tape.” - TNT Audio

“And the sound? This was uncanny …” - TNT Audio
