Daruma 3ii
Isolation Bearings
The concept of utilizing ball bearings to isolate electronics
in an audio system has been around for a while. There are
a number of good products available, each utilizing a variation
on the theme, but the cost of admission tends to be high.
Along comes Japanese firm Final Labs with a cost-effective
alternative that offers much of the performance found in
the high priced spread.
We have been quite impressed
with the Daruma 3ii roller bearing isolation devices,
and feel they offer exceptional value. Roughly similar in
concept to most of the other competing designs, the Daruma's
offer very good performance at a much lower cost than the
competitors.

“I really like the Daruma 3-ii insulators. Their effect,
particularly with CD players I’ve had in and out for review,
is easily noticeable. Setup and ease of use for the Daruma
3-iis are also very good -- very easy. And finally, their
$99-per-set retail price is quite reasonable.
Given the type of improvement
they bring to my CD sources, if the Daruma 3-iis were double
or triple their cost, I could justify their purchase. Any
more, though, and I would have to invoke the cost-effectiveness
rule and apply the amount to a trip somewhere south. But
the Final Daruma 3-iis are so reasonable, I'll stay home
and listen to some hot music instead”. – Doug Schneider,
Soundstage!
“I have found that these units,
and the concept behind them, do have a dramatic effect,
and are far more capable of revealing hidden details, reducing
noise, and producing a more three dimensional soundstage
than any cones I have yet tried”. – Simon Groome, Hi-Fi
Plus
"With three Daruma's under my CD player,
the improvements were obvious. The Daruma's cleaned and
polished dynamic peaks and transients, making for a cleaner,
clearer musical presentation. The improvements were across
the board with respect to types of music - rock, acoustic,
you name it." - Francisco Duran, audioMusings,
USA
"Music just sounds better. For the money, these
are highly recommended." - Dave Clark, audioMusings,
USA
"I have been using them daily since I received
them and I am thrilled with the response. I have
them under my Meridian 588 CD player and they really made
the background dark as night and opened my soundstage more
than it was before." - Cindy R.
At only $85.00 for a set of three (our introductory price),
the Daruma 3ii represent an unqualified value. Order
a set or two, and give them a try in your system!
