    Powerful and impressive sound that fills any room thanks to JENO Engines, LAPC and Space Tune -

    The Technics brand is known for producing visually stunning and technically high innovation audio products. The SC-C70 compact stereo system, featuring three JENO Engines that eliminate digital jitter, is no exception. The result is a crystal-clear sound with no perceptible distortion. The SC-C70 also features the LAPC function, which is load adaptive amplifier technology developed by Technics to ensure perfect alignment with the loudspeakers. The system measures the phase and impedance properties of the integrated loudspeakers and optimizes the resulting sound output using the data it has obtained. Together with the precisely developed sound concept, which encompasses five loudspeakers, the SC-C70 is able to create a wonderfully spatial sound experience.

    In order to optimize the spatial effect of the sound, acoustic lenses are used in front of the tweeters to further distribute and disperse the sound; especially in the high-frequency range. Furthermore, integrated acoustic louvers minimize fluctuations, particularly in the high-frequency range. Technics has developed Space Tune calibration software in order to achieve optimum sound quality. This software corrects parameters over its own network and enables the sound to be adjusted to the individual spatial situation. 
     
    Versatile networking with the Technics app, Apple AirPlay and DLNA -

    In addition to boasting high-performance hardware, the SC-C70 is also easy to operate. No matter whether the music is to be played in high-resolution format via a network, a CD, USB connection or smartphone, music fans are always able to maintain full control thanks to the intuitive and easy-to-use Technics app. 

    The integrated Apple AirPlay function also enables users to stream music files smoothly from various Apple devices such as an iPod, iPhone or iPad. The SC-C70 is DLNA-compatible and can also be easily connected to mobile devices from other manufacturers via Bluetooth, allowing access to music from popular streaming services such as Spotify and TIDAL. 


    Stylish design -

    Due to its striking and stylish aesthetics, the SC-C70 is the perfect addition to any home. The smooth acrylic glass plate covering the top-loading CD compartment adds a touch of elegance to this compact system. 



    JENO Engine -

    The amp section of the OTTAVA™ f succeeds the Technics Reference System design concept and embraces a fully-digital amp configuration equipped with JENO Engine (Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization) in order to deliver all of the audio data contained in the high-resolution sound source faithfully to the speakers without loss. Moreover, the OTTAVA™ f is equipped with three units of the same JENO Engine as those used in our high-end models to optimally drive the built-in speakers, thus achieving a high-quality, integrated hi-fi system that meets Technics standards. It adopts a bi-amp structure to separately drive the woofers (low-frequency sound) and tweeter/mid-range speaker units (mid-/high-frequency sound), and utilizes the high-performance signal processing circuitry (DSP) mounted in the JENO engine to achieve precise channel dividing, adjustment of time alignment between speaker units, and correction of frequency characteristics.


    LAPC -

    LAPC is an original Technics speaker load adaptive technology. It measures the amp's frequency amplitude phase characteristics with speakers connected to the unit, and performs digital signal processing to achieve the ideal impulse response. Characteristic parameters optimized for the low-frequency and high-frequency speaker load characteristics of speakers are already pre-set in the LAPC computation circuit of the unit to realise ideal frequency and phase characteristics over the entire frequency range.


    Space Tune™ -

    * Space Tune™ delivers optimized sound for the customer’s listening environment.

    * Preset EQ provides the optimum Technics sound quickly

    * 3 types of presets are available and choose one of them considering its placement.


    Acoustic Lens -

    The OTTAVA™ f is equipped with newly developed acoustic lenses featuring the “reverse dome-shape fin” structure. The back sides of the fins are shaped to match the form of the soft-dome diaphragms of the tweeters, and positioned closely to the speaker units to provide long sound paths. This realizes a wide directionality, expanded sound field and detailed high-frequency sound reproduction capability over the frequency range of 11 kHz to the high-res range. The fins are continuously connected to the Acoustic Louver on the front side to minimise disturbance to the high-frequency characteristics.


    Speaker System -

    The speaker system consists of three types of newly developed speaker units. The high-res dome tweeters feature silk diaphragms that boast an excellent damping factor and smooth sound characteristics. The mid-range speaker units maintain an appropriate peak level and achieve seamless crossover. The woofers, which must reproduce the sound source faithfully even during high-power input, are provided with a large edge made of high-strength NBR (nitrile rubber) with a superb amplitude linearity as well as tough and flexible high-strength fiber dampers to powerfully support the large-motion voice coil bobbins. Coupled with the dual bass-reflex ports, these three types of speaker units reproduce sound over an ultra-wide frequency band in a range of 40 Hz to 50 kHz.


    Twin Power Supply Circuit System -

    Regular power supplies use one transformer to supply power to the amp, CD drive, and digital circuits, and so if there is any load fluctuation or if noise occurs on a circuit, other circuits are affected, which results in degradation of the sound quality. This power supply system includes independently installed switch mode power supply circuitry for the amp and the other circuits, which eliminates mutual interference, thereby reducing degradation of sound quality caused by noise or power supply fluctuations. In addition, a layout with dedicated transformer and amp circuits enables the shortest possible connection to further reduce noise.


    Re-master -

    The high-precision signal processing circuitry of the JENO Engine is utilized to expand the frequency band of Bluetooth and Internet radio sources, in which high-frequency signals are commonly lost due to signal compression, to a range equivalent to that of a CD source. This eliminates the lack of expansiveness in high-frequency sound and the loss of sound details for enhanced sound quality.
