    MY TAKE:

Vibrant, punchy sound, great value. - Galen Carol

Grado's ability to combine lightness with extreme rigidity and internal damping has been put to good use on the SR125e. The SR125e features a state-of-the-art driver and cable design utilizing UHPLC (Ultra-High Purity, Long Crystal) copper voice coil wire. With the 8 conductor cable design you will notice outstanding control and stability of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum, with both supporting Grado's world renowned midrange. The Diaphragms are put through a special de-stressing process in order to enhance inner detail. The way the SR125e's new driver, cable and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations are virtually unaffected by transient distortions. Bass, midrange and treble are open and you will enjoy the fine tonal spread and balance. The SR125e will produce a sound that is pure Grado, with warm harmonic colors, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics, and an ultra-smooth top end.

    Grado e-Series Headphone Features:

    • Every single component, surface, and material used in the e Series has been upgraded and optimized for one purpose - outstanding dynamics and fidelity.
    • Grado's proprietary SpaceBlack Polycarbonate is engineered to absorb excess energy and reduce secondary impulses, for a clearer tone.
    • The e Series method of curing our select Mahogany tone-woods enhances their natural ability to reduce sound coloration and produce consistent results.
    • Rhodium, the most expensive precious metal on earth, is employed to prevent corrosion on connectors, and unwanted graininess in your music.
    • More than 60 years of Grado Labs expertise have led us to develop the most refined driver geometry in our history, which tracks music frequencies with unequaled precision.
    • Design refinements within the housing prevent stray resonance from interacting with the driver, thus protecting the purity of reproduction.
    • The magnetic field has been fine-tuned for symmetry throughout the full range of the voice coil.
    • Even the glue is new, optimized for greater strength, less mass, and better reliability.

For over 50 years, Grado has been manufacturing some of the World’s great phono cartridges. One of the oldest family owned companies in the audio industry, Grado have been the leaders in design engineering for the high-end audio and recording industries.

Holder of 48 patents, company founder, Joseph Grado is credited as the inventor of the stereo moving coil phono cartridge. He is responsible for more innovations in phono cartridge design than any other person in our lifetime and was inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame in 1982.

Time honored manufacturing know how and painstaking attention to design detail result in previously unattained levels of pitch control, harmonic accuracy and bass quality to be achieved. All Grado headphones and cartridges are handmade to Grado's full performance specifications... nothing leaves the factory unless it sounds pure Grado.
