We carry a wide range of
equipment stands and racks to suite most any need and budget. Here is a brief synopsis of a few of the brands we carry.

SALAMANDER:
Our most popular line of racks, and by a wide margin, are
those produced by Salamander. The Company offers two ranges,
the cost-effective Archetype, and the versatile
Synergy series.
The Synergy
collection (example shown at left) is exceptionally wide ranging. Here most anyone
can find a rack to suit their needs. A number of styles,
sizes, accessories and finish options combine to form
literally hundreds of combinations. From a simple rack for a
few components, to a large grouping to hold an expansive A/V
system, Synergy can accommodate your needs. Video
components from direct-view sets to large screen rear
projectors and even plasma's can be accommodated.
The concept behind
Synergy is to allow an individual to create any level of
system required to meet their needs, and do so either all at
once, or piecemeal, one or two parts at a time.
A myriad of accessories complete the Synergy range: Doors (with either glass or perforated metal inserts), side
panels of various materials and finishes, drawers (with or
without media dividers) and even interior lighting are all
available to customize and compliment your system.
Because the
range is so broad, there is no way to even begin to describe
the options available in Synergy. Thus, I invite you
to visit the excellent Salamander website (click on the link
at the top of this page) for detailed
information and descriptions, then call us with your
questions or for a price quote. Prices start at just $299
The Salamander Chameleon line was introduced to serve
two needs. Provide models
compatible with traditional decors and to offer products
which would be easy to assemble. There are four styles in
this series. They are Sonoma, a mission-influenced design
sporting an American cherry finish, Hampton, a distressed
black, English country look, Geneva, a medium walnut style,
and Berlin, a contemporary, dark wenge wood design. All four
styles come in five different sizes, two "twin" units that
are 44 inches wide and differing heights and three "triples"
that are about 65 inches wide and differing heights. This
gives the customer 20 different choices from $1299 to $1899.
These units come out of the box mostly assembled and need
very little effort to complete. There are options such
as wheels, media trays, cooling fans, flat-panel TV mounts,
surge suppressors and even a plasma proof IR package. For

Salamander Archetype is
a basic design featuring threaded steel uprights with large
nuts and washers holding solid hardwood shelves in place.
The beauty of this design is the ability to locate shelves
any where along the uprights. Additional shelves can easily
be added later.
FINITE
ELEMENTE: From Germany come these
superb stands that
combine true audiophile performance with graceful design; a
welcome blend of both form and function.
Far more than meets
the eye, Finite Elemente designs employ sophisticated
mechanical principles coupled with superior quality materials to achieve
their goal of a resonant-free, stable platform for
components.
The
Signature features solid Canadian Hard Rock Maple frames
that support special three
layer sandwich shelves. A unique four point bolt arrangement
couples each shelf to solid aluminum uprights for maximum energy transfer.
Shelves are
adjustable to accommodate components of different height.
Two ranges
are available, the Pagode Signature (pictured)
and the phenomenal Pagode Master Reference. With
either choice, you'll be getting one of the best performing racks
available today.

SCHROERS & SCHROERS: Little known in the U.S.,
Schroers &
Schroers of Berlin make the number one selling line of entertainment
furniture in Europe. It’s easy to see why when you gaze
upon the lovely, unique and practical designs. The build
quality is outstanding, with typical German attention to
detail.
So fanatical about quality, Schroers & Schroers
has taken the expensive step by manufacturing their own
glass. The glass is poured on a bed of mercury for an
absolutely flat surface. Each shelf is finished with an
optically perfect edge.
Popular in their line-up is the
Alphastatic.
The triangular design (pictured here in Silver with clear
glass shelves)) is stunning. I was surprised to find
that the unit is very sturdy, and I would have no qualms
about racking my gear on this stand. Alphastatic $869.00
- $1149.00 depending on finish.
Have a look at our Schroers
& Schroers page, or the Factory
Website, for more information about the many styles
available.
