Galen Carol Audio High Temperature Silicone Tube Dampers
Our high temperature silicone rings do a good job of damping vibrations in the glass envelope, without reflecting heat back into the tube.
Most tube dampers cover a good portion of the tube. While an effective means of reducing vibration, that approach reflects heat back into the tube, increasing internal envelope temperatures and foreshortening tube life. Not good.
Our high temperature silicone rings have a low cross-section with high heat conduction properties. They offer reasonable damping properties without sacrificing tube life.
The rings are designed to fit most all small-signal tubes (12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 6DJ8, 6922 etc.)
Use two rings per tube, eight come in the set.
